Subjects

Algebra I

Algebra is the basics of math that is a prerequisite for Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry and Calculus.  It introduces the differences of between and explores expressions, equations, functions/relations, and inequalities in areas of linear, quadratics, rational, and radicals.

Algebra II

Algebra II is a continuation of Algebra I that explores deeper with expressions, equations, functions/relations, and inequalities into linear, quadratic, rational and radicals. But Algebra II also includes work with exponentials and logarithms.  The students will learn about matrice and their determinants.  They will learn several ways to solve system of equations including Cramers Rule, Inverse Matrix Method, and the elimination method.

Geometry

Geometry is the study of definitions, postulates, and theorems that deals with lines, two and three dimensional figures, and circles.  The students will be introduced to basic Trigonometry that deals with right and oblique triangles.  Students will use all of these to find area and volume of a variety of shapes.

Calculus

Calculus uses algebra and trigonometry to study two major areas:  the tangent line problem and the area under curve.  The students learn about derivatives and integration to solve real problems.

Trigonometry

Trigonometry is the study of angle measures.  The students will learn formulas to deal with right triangles and oblique triangles.  They will learn about radian measure, circular functions, and trig identities.
