With cold, flu, and other illnesses making the rounds this time of year, we wanted to share a quick reminder about our school health guidelines and procedures when students are feeling sick.
If your child has a fever (100.4° or higher), vomiting, or diarrhea, please keep them home to rest and recover. Students should be symptom-free and fever-free (without the help of medication) for at least 24 hours before returning to school.
We know it’s not always easy to juggle schedules, but keeping sick students home helps protect everyone and keeps our school community healthier overall. Thank you so much for your partnership, understanding, and continued support—especially during this busy season of germs!
If you ever have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

USD 421 will have a brief special BOE meeting this Wednesday, February 4th. See the attached proposed agenda. Meeting will start at 6:00 PM.

We’ll have practice today, tomorrow, and Thursday from 3:15–4:30 PM to get ready.
Our first meet will be right here in Lyndon on Monday, February 2nd, starting at 4:30 PM in the CLC.
Best of luck to our Tigers!

The UBenefit grant recognizes and awards educators for all they do, that so often
goes unnoticed. This year, they had over 900 applicants and again awarded 100
winners with a $100 grant. Each applicant provided an estimate of the amount
of personal funds they spend each year supporting students and classrooms and
the average annual amount was over $550.
Way to go, Madeline! We are so proud of you!

We are closely monitoring the weather and are aware that temperatures will be low tomorrow, especially with the wind chill. With that in mind, please ensure students dress appropriately for the cold. We strongly encourage no shorts and recommend warm layers.
We will continue to monitor weather conditions through the weekend and into next week and will communicate any changes as needed. Thanks for your support.

Students will have a fun-filled day learning cheers, chants, jumps, and basic stunting with our LHS cheerleaders during the clinic on Sunday, February 8th. Then, they’ll get a chance to show off what they’ve learned by performing at halftime of the LHS Boys Basketball game on Friday, February 13th.
If your student is interested in participating, please complete the form and return it to school. Forms were sent home with students and are also available in the Elementary/Middle School office.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Mackenzie Fitch at fitchm@usd421.org
We hope to see lots of smiling faces cheering with us! 📣🧡🖤
