Spanish III

This is a pitcure from one of the many colorful El Salvadorean celebrations. 

 

 

 

Spanish Heritage Month  This celebration is recongonized from September 15th through October 15th.  The students are researching the country of El Savaldor, which is the country that they are reading about in a short story in class.  They are creating posters to display in the hallways about the geographical regions, natural disaters of the country, the economy, plants and animals as well as the sights and sounds of the cities that one can see when visiting El Salvador.  They will also find recipies to cook for the class from the country for a fiesta in class at the end of our unit and the short story.

 

 

 

One unit of weighted credit, grades 11 and 12. Prerequisite- Successtully complete previous Spanish classes. This is an advanced course that reviews the language principles discussed in the first two years. There is a focus on cultural history, and all students are expected to communicate in Spanish through both written and oral formats. It will include more in-depth study of the Hispanic peoples, their culture and their history. The class will be conducted mostly in Spanish and the students will begin to read literature from different Hispanic authors and time periods.
