Dyslexia: Let’s Talk About It

This session, “Dyslexia, Let’s Talk About It”, was designed for the Kansas State Department of Education to share the scientifically based neuro-biological information, garnered from years of dedicated research at the National Institutes of Health, that dispel the many myths that continue to swirl around the developmental and behavioral characteristics of dyslexia. This 40-minute video will provide you with a clear understanding of what dyslexia is and isn’t, how it affects individuals with dyslexia at different ages, and an understanding of what must be done in school and at home to make sure young children learn the language foundations necessary to successfully learn to read, write and spell.
